It is my pleasure to write this testimonial.   Prior to beginning my acupuncture treatment in November of 2003, I was on medication for arthritis and was still having break through pain.  

Since beginning treatment, I have been able to decrease the amount of medication and remain pain free.   I am an avid horseback rider and experienced pain through my hips and extremities while riding, sometimes after riding I would be quite sore.  

Since starting acupuncture treatment I have less pain and feel better overall.   I whole-heartedly recommend acupuncture for anyone who is experiencing pain.   Before the treatment, I had trouble bending, walking, running, etc.   But since getting treatment, I am much more mobile and seem to have a sense of well being.  

It is like Stephanie has sprinkled magic dust all over my body!

P.S. Two weeks ago, I went to a one week clinic with my horse.   We averaged 6-7 hours of riding per day.   This intensive week of riding would not have been enjoyable without my acupuncture treatment.

I had been suffering from osteoarthritis for ten years.   My doctor had been treating me with Vioxx.   This was a pain reliever and I was taking 50mg a day.   On bad days I was taking 100 mg.   This drug was taken off the market because of the side effects:   bad for your heart, constipation, loss of balance and muscle weakness.   I had the symptoms of back pain and pain in my legs and joints.   It would take me approximately 10-15 minutes to loosen up in the mornings so I could go to the health club and work out.   I would feel better when working out.   But as soon as I returned home, my back and joints would tighten up and the pain would return.   My condition continued to get worse with the added problems of weight gain which increased the pain.  

There was a health fair held at my health club a little over a year ago.   At that time I was very fortunate in meeting Dr. Stephanie Kaplan who had been practicing acupuncture for over 18 years.   We set up an appointment for a consultation.   Dr. Stephanie outlined a plan for my treatment.   We started treatment immediately.   I was surprised how quickly I felt results.   The back and leg pain lessened after only a few treatments.   My balance has greatly improved, my muscle strength has returned.   Because of my improved physical condition I have become more physically active and lost 25 pounds.  

In my opinion acupuncture is the purest form of medicine.   It is painless, there are no drugs, no injections and no side effects.   I make this statement because of the results I have experienced.   For me it has been the fountain of youth.   I am 75 years old and I feel 20 years younger.   I feel like I have my life back.   I am now really enjoying my retirement.
